LEROY ® R230 is a Shunt excitation AVR for low voltage LEROY SOMER ® LSA 42.2, LSA 43.2, LSA44.2, LSA46.2, LSA47.2 three phase brushless alternators. (Leroy ® AEM110RE014, Olympian FG Wilson ® 922 197) The regulator monitors the exciter excitation current as a function of the alternator output voltage. Very simple in design, the alternator with shunt excitation has no sustaining short-circuit capacity.
